About the Role

One of our state government clients is seeking a Technology Transition Lead to guide the technical operational readiness efforts within their division. This role will play a key part in the successful transition of the project, ensuring the smooth implementation of Dynamics 365 support and aligning operational needs with strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Advise, review, and make recommendations on the support and service models, including third-party vendor support and operational workflows.
• Provide recommendations on an operational framework that defines clear roles, responsibilities, and governance structures for Dynamics 365 support and development.
• Offer high-level expert advice and strategic input into the lifecycle management of data within the project.
• Review backlog and grooming processes and assist in establishing the Application Enhancement Committee (AEC) and its function within the organisation.
• Oversee and provide recommendations for the design and implementation of the MSP support model, ensuring alignment with best practice IM/ICT frameworks.
• Provide support for cutover, technical deployment activities, and guidance for hypercare issues triage.
• Supervise training plans for Pre-GoLive/Hypercare/and BAU Operational testing models.
• Lead and design future IT organisational structures, capability RACI, processes, support models, and roles and responsibilities.
• Advise on operational impacts of wave releases, including business process, expectations, testing models, and volume of bugs/support.
• Collaborate with the Program and Team to provide support and recommendations on Dynamics 365 Technology architecture.

Desirable criteria

• Experience in program management and Dynamics 365 implementation.
• Strong expertise in managing transitions and changes within complex environments.
• Proven ability to work effectively with multiple teams to provide high-level technical guidance and recommendations.
• Experience in supervising and developing training plans for operational testing models and post-launch support.

Skills and experience

• Previous experience in Dynamics 365 implementations.
• Strong leadership competencies, including leading change, developing and mobilising talent, and inspiring others.
• Proven ability to manage and advise on complex operational and technology transitions.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
• Experience with governance structures and operational frameworks in a technical environment.
