About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Test Analyst to join one of our federal government clients. This role involves determining and carrying out testing activities to validate the design and behaviour of systems and services. The Test Analyst will work as part of an Agile delivery or project team, contributing to the development of test plans, execution of test cases, and production of test reporting.
Location: It is open to all states in Australia.
Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain Negative Vetting Level 1
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test plans, scenarios, and scripts for product releases.
- Conduct functional, integration, and regression testing for each release cycle.
- Report and track the resolution of issues identified during testing.
- Assist with issue triaging and develop detailed test reports.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, project development teams, and external vendors.
- Liaise with IT staff and other key areas as required.
- Perform additional duties as directed by Directors, Team Leaders, or delegates.
Highly Desirable Criteria
- Proven experience in test processes, including preparation, execution, and reporting.
- Proficiency in using tools such as Microsoft Test Manager, Jira, and Azure DevOps.
- Strong conceptual, analytical, and interpretive skills with high attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a self-motivated individual.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
- Experience working in an Agile team environment.
Desirable Criteria
- Tertiary qualifications or industry-recognized certification in Information Management, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- SQL querying ability.
- Automation testing skills.
- Strong programming knowledge.
Skills and Experience
- Experience in engaging and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to develop acceptance criteria based on business objectives, functional requirements, and service level requirements.
- Familiarity with issue tracking and resolution processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
