About the role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Test Analyst to lead and manage testing activities across major system implementations and upgrades within a large, government-focused organisation. You’ll be responsible for defining and executing the overall test strategy, coordinating test phases, managing test teams, and ensuring that systems meet business, technical, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Test Strategy, Test Plan, and Test Schedule for assigned projects.

• Lead all testing phases including Unit, System, Integration, Regression, and UAT.

• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

• Design and review test cases, manage test data, and maintain test environments.

• Oversee defect management, reporting, and resolution using JIRA or Zephyr Scale.

• Facilitate UAT sessions and post-implementation validation activities.

• Provide regular test metrics, progress updates, and risk assessments to stakeholders.

Skills and experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in test management or senior testing roles.

• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and QA best practices.

• Proficient in using test management tools (e.g. JIRA – Zephyr Scale).

• Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments.

• Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Proven ability to lead and mentor test teams.

Desirable

• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related field.

• Certifications such as ISTQB, PMP, or Agile.

• Experience with automated testing tools (e.g. Selenium, QTP).

• Background in government or compliance-focused environments.
