About the role

The department needs a Test Engineer/Analyst to support the Risk Remediation Program. The program modernises critical business systems and ensures they meet future strategic needs. You will work across several projects to validate complex transactions, check data integrity, and confirm solution quality. You will design and run test cases, automate testing where possible, and work with business stakeholders to understand requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the Test Manager, developers, and business analysts to align testing with project goals and standards.
• Join test planning sessions, status meetings, and retrospectives to give updates and insights.
• Use automated testing to increase efficiency and support continuous integration and delivery.
• Perform data-level validation to confirm correct back-end processing.
• Log, track, and resolve defects in ADO or other tools, keeping communication clear with all teams.
• Support regression testing and continuous integration to maintain system stability.
• Provide assurance for release readiness and manage defect resolution.
• Keep detailed records of test cases, results, and defects to meet audit and compliance needs.
• Validate spatial data integrity, geoprocessing tools, and map services using REST/SOAP.
• Test with ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise Portal.

Desirable criteria

• Professional QA, Testing, or Program Management qualification.
• Agile Methodology certification.
• Background in spatial data systems or geospatial technologies.

Skills and experience

• Minimum 5 years testing in a large and complex IT environment.
• Strong knowledge of testing frameworks.
• Skilled in manual and automated testing methods.
• Proven experience on business-critical systems.
• Strong data integrity and back-end validation skills.
• Experience with Azure Cloud Services, including Azure API Management and Confluent Kafka.
• Proficient with Confluence, Jira, and other documentation and tracking tools.
• Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and a methodical approach to testing.
• Collaborative mindset with cross-functional teams.
