Overview

We’re partnering with a leading enterprise client who’s after a hands-on Windows Contractor to step straight into a fast-moving operational environment. You’ll be joining a high-performing team that keeps critical systems running smoothly — ensuring uptime, performance, and reliability across a complex tech landscape.
This is an initial 6-month contract with a strong likelihood of extension, ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic, large-scale IT environments and loves solving real operational challenges.

About the Role

You’ll play a key role in maintaining and supporting a large enterprise infrastructure, providing technical expertise across Windows, VMware, Azure, and Nutanix environments. The focus is on operational excellence — troubleshooting issues, optimising system performance, and keeping critical services humming.
You’ll be surrounded by experienced engineers who value collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and practical problem-solving. The pace is fast, but the culture is supportive — you’ll have the tools and autonomy you need to make an immediate impact.

What you’ll be doing:

• Providing operational support and administration across enterprise systems
• Managing and troubleshooting VMware environments
• Supporting Microsoft Azure workloads and hybrid cloud setups
• Working with Nutanix infrastructure for scalable, reliable virtualisation
• Driving improvements to ensure stability, performance, and efficiency

About You

You’re an experienced Windows / Infrastructure Engineer who’s comfortable operating in large-scale environments and thrives under a bit of pressure. You take pride in keeping systems running smoothly and know how to balance speed with stability.

You’ll bring:

• Solid background in Windows operational support
• Strong hands-on experience with VMware
• Proficiency with Microsoft Azure
