About the Role

We are seeking an experienced .NET Developer to join a high-performing technology team delivering enterprise-scale digital solutions. In this role, you will contribute to the development, enhancement and support of modern applications, working across the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) in an Agile environment.

You will play a key role in modernizing existing applications, building scalable APIs, implementing cloud-based solutions and supporting continuous delivery practices. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex, business-critical systems while collaborating with technical and business stakeholders to deliver innovative technology outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and maintain enterprise applications using C# and the .NET Framework/.NET platform.
• Design and develop secure, scalable Web APIs and backend services.
• Participate in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including analysis, design, development, testing, deployment and support.
• Develop and maintain automated build, deployment and release pipelines.
• Work within Agile delivery teams using Azure DevOps and modern software engineering practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolution of application defects.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.
• Produce high-quality, well-documented and testable code.
• Participate in peer code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support technical analysis, solution design and enterprise application integration.
• Contribute to application modernisation and cloud adoption initiatives.

Highly Desirable Criteria

• Strong commercial experience developing applications using C# and .NET (Framework and modern .NET).
• Experience building RESTful Web APIs and backend services.
• Strong SQL development experience.
• Experience with automated build, deployment and release pipelines.
• Experience developing cloud-based applications, preferably within Microsoft Azure.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps or similar DevOps platforms.
• Strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies and SDLC practices.
• Experience producing maintainable, well-documented and testable code.
• Experience performing peer code reviews and maintaining development standards.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to analyse complex technical problems and recommend practical solutions.

Desirable Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Experience with cloud technologies and cloud-native application development.
• Experience in technical analysis, solution architecture and application design.
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise integration solutions.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and modern DevOps methodologies.
• Experience working in large enterprise or government technology environments.
• Familiarity with project collaboration tools such as Miro or similar.

Skills and Experience

• Extensive experience with C#, .NET Framework and modern .NET.
• Strong backend development skills using Web APIs and SQL Server.
