About the role
We are looking for a Business Analyst to provide expert recommendations on business initiatives, strategic advice, and future-focused outcomes.
This role will review organisational system concerns and identify practical, innovative solutions using current and emerging technologies.
The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders, research business and technology improvement opportunities, and present clear findings and recommendations to support informed decision-making by senior management.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with stakeholders and market leaders to gather insights, information, and ideas.
- Understand issues across the construction and maintenance sector.
- Research current and emerging technologies, solutions, and business improvement opportunities.
- Analyse business processes, systems, data, and information technology practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes and organisational systems.
- Develop clear recommendations and potential solutions aligned to organisational goals and values.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management in a structured and professional way.
- Work independently and flexibly, using sound judgement to take initiative or escalate issues when required.
Highly desirable criteria
- Strong interest in emerging technologies.
- Experience or qualifications in Business Analysis, Information Technology, Information Systems, or similar.
- Knowledge of business process improvement, business intelligence, enterprise systems, IT and mobile technologies, and data science.
- Experience with project management or improvement methodologies.
Desirable criteria
- Experience working in or supporting construction, maintenance, facilities, or government environments.
- Ability to identify both innovative and practical solutions to business problems.
- Exposure to enterprise systems, process improvement initiatives, data-driven decision-making, or technology-enabled change.
Skills and experience
- Demonstrated experience engaging with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to present findings, recommendations, and solutions to senior management.
- Proven ability to apply strategic and innovative thinking to business problems.
- Experience using business analysis techniques to support business improvement recommendations.
- Strong understanding of information technology, business processes, systems, and data.
- Ability to conduct research into emerging technologies and solutions.
- Strong self-direction, flexibility, and ability to work without close supervision.
- Sound judgement, including knowing when to take initiative and when to escalate.
