About the role

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect (Specialist) to join a Queensland Government digital delivery team supporting high profile digital products and services. You will play a key role in designing and delivering architectural solutions across digital identity and digital licensing products, while working closely with vendors, government agencies and internal stakeholders to ensure effective integration and delivery.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior architect to contribute to large scale digital initiatives that directly improve the way Queenslanders access government services.
 

Key responsibilities

• Work across multiple architectural domains, including business, information, application, technology and information security.
• Develop and assure enterprise architecture artefacts, including ICT strategies, position papers and direction statements.
• Develop and assure solution architecture artefacts, including conceptual and logical solution designs, data integration and information models.
• Undertake options analysis and provide architectural input into business cases.
• Ensure the overall direction, integrity and alignment of technical products.
• Apply relevant Queensland Government Enterprise Architecture strategies, roadmaps, principles and standards.
• Provide strategic architectural advice through program and project boards, government working groups and multi jurisdictional working groups.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with technical and business Subject Matter Experts, government agencies, vendors and the broader ICT industry.
• Provide advice, guidance and assurance throughout the delivery of large enterprise solutions.
   

Highly desirable criteria

• 10+ years’ experience providing architectural advice, guidance, assurance and delivery for large enterprise solutions.
• 5+ years’ proven experience defining and implementing strategies within a large and diverse organisation.
• Extensive experience with enterprise architecture best practices and methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience across multiple architectural domains.
• Experience with mobile driver licence, digital identity and supporting systems.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles, standards and governance.
• Experience working across complex government or large enterprise environments.
   

Desirable criteria

• TOGAF Certification.
• Experience working within a Queensland Government environment.
• Experience working with whole of government or multi jurisdictional initiatives.
• Experience working with external vendors and technology partners.
• Experience contributing to business cases, options analysis and strategic technology direction.
